A photographer who first picked up a camera as kid in the Cariboo is getting attention across the country for his new book about the Alberta oil sands.
It’s called “Beautiful Destruction” a collection of photos taken from the air along with essays from contributors on both sides of the oilsands debate.
We called up Louis Helbig to tell us about it.
